Entrance qualifications: Applicants must hold a recognized three-year Primary Education Diploma for which at least a Senior or School Leaving Certificate with at least five subjects on Higher and/or Standard Grade was a prerequisite for admission to the course of studies.

Printed correspondence texts prepared by/for institution, tutorial support, audio/video cassettes, discussion classes, study groups.

Administrative information:
The Higher Education Diploma (Primary) cannot be completed in under 1 year.

A part-time student is advised to register for only two courses in the first year, and to distribute the curriculum over two years.
